Child Pedestrian Safety

Overview

A child's perception, judgement and awareness of potentially dangerous situations is generally not sufficiently developed to properly cope with the road environment until they are at least 10 years of age. Children need adults to set a good example and supervise them closely in and around traffic, including roundabouts, traffic lights and car parks.

At MARTs, we believe that a CHILD needs a hand in traffic. A hand we extend through easy to understand graphics developed by teams in schools and communities. Whenever crossing roads, it is ideal to talk about when and why it is safe to cross the road with children so they can gain understanding about the broad range of factors involved.

We have designed easy to deliver materials and skills for parents and teachers to deliver road safety to the young minds.
